Dear Editor,

My son and I recently visited Dignity village and their website, read their brochure, and attended a council meeting. What I saw and heard gives me real hope not only for homeless, but for humanity itself. The Einsteinian related message is, "The solution is at a different level than that which the problem was created." If the problem is homelessness then perhaps it/s a byproduct of the society that created it. In that case, building community and doing healing work seems to make sense, but to try to force them into a structure where they don't fit will not work.

These people aren't homeless now. They want a chance to survive on their own and help others to do the same. They want to make a difference. They have something valuable to show us. All they need is our support and a place called home. Let's give them a hand.

Sincerely,

Daniel N. Howe
